The story centers around high school student Jane Shipley (Hernandez), who seeks to mend her splintering relationship with childhood best friend Merritt (Haynes), and fit in with Merritt’s rebellious clique. When Jane’s math teacher (Camargo) oversteps his bounds, an apathetic high school administration forces Jane and Merritt to take matters into their own hands, driving their relationship into further turmoil and inciting deadly consequences.

My quick rating - 3,7/10. Very generic slasher flick that takes ENTIRELY too long to get going. I know from the sounds of that statement you are thinking it does get going but it doesn't. Basically, it just goes from being a bunch of poorly acted teens being themselves in school to being locked in the school and hunted by a killer. And it takes so long to get to that point, if you are impatient, you'll turn it off before that even happens. To make matters worse, it is a killer they don't even attempt to hide the identity of. So you aren't getting any whodunit or twists here. I do say generic and I suppose that isn't correct since it doesn't have any nudity, the kills are completely lame and off-screen, blood is minimal, and I don't even think any of them trip for no reason running away. All the little things that could swing a slasher into being entertaining are just vacant. There is no quirky guy/gal throwing in zingers for amusement or some over-the-top muscle-bound jock that gets beat up in a snap while a tiny girl fights off said killer like a trained assassin. Nothing of the sort but it is a polished production that includes some decent set and music along the way so this isn't something I just scoffed at thinking college project. And I did like the mask that the killer used in a plain yet amusing choice sort of way. I also think that Harley Quinn Smith continues to get work due to being tight with Kevin Smith but she needs to work on a different character. I have certainly seen worse but was just so bored by this whole thing that I couldn't recommend it for anyone. And no, Kevin Smith had nothing to do with this film.
