My quick rating - 4,5/10. Going to guess this has nothing to do with the 1986 cult VHS flick with Klaus Kinski. Not sure if we should call this "Die Hard" or "Home Alone" in some crawlspace. I am not entirely sure if they meant for this to be partially a comedy or not. If so, it might be a bit higher score. The writing for the bad guys here makes them look so incredibly inept that laughing is your only option. But then again, our maintenance guy played by Henry Thomas isn't exactly the hero of the century. But as he is working in the crawlspace of some wood house he happens to hear the grand scheme above that is just talked through for no real apparent reason. But when they realize that he is under there listening to the whole thing, they must exterminate him. Yes, I mentioned wood house but the loot is of course hidden in the said crawlspace, so no burning the place down. But every other piece of common sense you can come up with gets ignored repeatedly by these two master criminals. So what could've easily been a 20-minute short gets extended out to 90 minutes? They do fill in some of this with unintentional humor though so it does move by at a decent pace. And then they just had to try and through in twists which are so forced into it you can just see them jotting the ideas down on the bar napkin the night before. I know I am being overly negative since it did enough to be entertaining and not irritating but it just needed a solid genre to stick to and a full plot to work with. For what they had, they did the best they could. You really could do worse if you run across it, I just don't think you want to actively find it.
