My quick rating - 3,3/10. Going in with no info but the poster below. Click it to check this out on Amazon. On second thought, don't click the poster but check out Surviving the Game or the recently released The Hunt if you want the same idea with FAR BETTER execution. Not that the dialogue seems all that important but the sound mixing of this is horrendous. The woman playing the wife (Marlene Malcolm) in this is awful as well. And the choices for music are overbearing and at the wrong times. Maybe at some point, there will be something positive to write about this one. She is finding skulls and skeletal remains trying to make it look like these bumbling hicks chasing her are some "big game" hunters LOL. Wow, this is terrible. If you haven't figured it out yet, the story is simple, a couple is pulled over passing through a town, and kidnapped only to be brought to some island to be hunted down by 4 incompetent locals for sport. I suppose you could call this an homage to early 80s flix but I thought it was more of an insult. Having a low budget is fine but that isn't an instant excuse for all of the problems with this movie. They did take the time to actually use different sound effects for types of guns, so finally, something positive to say but that is really stretching. The tropes you'd expect are here such as why not just shoot instead of screwing around with either a knife or dynamite? The action is lackluster with people shooting that are supposed hunters pointing upwards trying to hit a woman not climbing in a tree. Just laughable stuff like that throughout. Was waiting for a long ass speech from the bad guy at the end explaining in detail why this goes on but at least I was spared of that agony. Just another example of taking The Most Dangerous Game and putting their spin on it.
