The world has been reshaped by the invasion of ghosts via the wireless internet. Cities are deserted, technology has been destroyed and the few remaining human beings eschew anything electrical in order to avoid a confrontation with the soulless ghosts that now wander the planet. Most of the ghosts are doomed to a repetitive loop of something they did while they were still despairing humans (a man repeatedly hangs himself, for example), but there are some ghosts so locked in denial, they do not know they are dead. They continue to haunt their homes, wrapped in fear that their souls will soon be torn from them.

My quick rating - 3,4/10. Since I recently watched the first one and got roped into the sequels, may as well check it out while the story is fresh in my cluttered head. There is a tremendous drop in quality and continuity between these two flix. There is no way to say much about this one without giving spoilers since it relies completely on the world that the first one created. The creepy and dark world created in the first is gone, replaced by some weird "red" glow to the scenes. Apparently, the ghosts cannot travel through this red for some unknown reason. But the worst part about the scenes is the fact that nearly every single background for each scene is a CGI render of everyday mundane things. So instead of actually standing in a room with a bookshelf, they had to pay the 11-year-olds to computer generate it. Very awful looking and distracting. The characters all seem to be just muddling around with life, not dealing with an end-of-the-world scenario. The little girl who is trying to be saved was by far the highlight to really was a disappointing foray into what could've been an interesting world they created even if the first film wasn't stellar.
