Like the original film, the sequel is set in a near future where all drinking and drugs are banned except for on one glorious day known as The Binge. This year, that day happens to miraculously land on Christmas.

My quick rating - 4,8/10. I caught the first one and thought it was average. May as well give their holiday sequel a look. Ah, and why it is a Xmas flick? They moved the annual Binge to Christmas Eve. At times this one was quite funny but the other times, it was awful. There are some pretty good actors in this one as well which you would think could've brought the production as a whole up but it was tough to get through such a stupid story. It was almost like an anthology how this one went. The highlight for me was having Danny Trejo play an Angel in the way you would very much assume he would. This and Tim Meadows was really good here. I thought that the character that Nick Swardson played was totally wasted since it should've been amusing but more often was just dumb. It did have some good jabs at some of the classic holiday flix that did work. All the humor is pretty much on the raunchy side and is delivered in a manner of "you thought the last one was over the limit, how about this one." Still, there is some entertainment in a Xmas comedy that is purposely going over the top for your laughs. I have the same type of feeling about this one as the last. After the fact, it seems to get better but while watching, it just seemed so bad. I guess this one is up to you to decide since apparently I cannot figure it out for myself. I know I laughed quite a few times and sometimes didn't even see it coming, so I guess they did something right.
You can check it out on Hulu if you are interested.
