My quick rating - 4,2/10. I was pleasantly surprised with the first Scare Package so onto the sequel that I didn't know was being made. Unfortunately the things that made the first flick enjoyable is partially to blame for making this one less entertaining. The first one used original ideas and made fun of the many tropes that exist in horror flix while this one took a different approach. They attempted to mock the movies themselves in the anthology portions and for the most part they were swings and misses. That along with the tie together story of this which is a direct relation to the first so I don't want to spoil it, is so poorly constructed that you will end up wondering what is going on. For a lower budget flick the acting and the effects were passable. Not only effective but also over done so gore fans will be satisfied. Yet this was done to excess and seemingly only for the sake of grabbing your attention. The laughs along the way are hit and miss equally which doesn't help much either. It is unfortunate since there are some good spots along the way but as a finished product it'll end up just making you scratch your head. A couple segments did stand out with the highlight being the Welcome to the 90s story that saw a group of final girls trying to survive against Jason, Freddy, a Xenomorph, Michael Myers, and Leatherface stand-in: Tony the Killer (Joshua Miller) Aside from being dragged down with some pointless dialogue, that is the top followed by the Night He Came Back which was actually a sequel to one of the stories in the fist flick, so a spoof of its own spoof. Beyond those two, you may as well stop watching since the others are quite poor and as I said, the story as a whole is a convoluted mess. A let down for fans of the first but feel free to click the poster below if you are still interested in viewing it or if you have access to Shudder, check it out there.
