In 2018 a string of tragedies unfold in the high desert of North Eastern Nevada. A woman was found dead and another would vanish along the same stretch of remote highway. Could these events be linked to the infamous 2017 disappearance of outdoorsman Gary Hinge?

My quick rating - 2,7/10. I watched the FIRST one a year and a half ago and wasn't impressed so I figured I better check out the sequel since I am a glutton for punishment. YAWN. This crew does have the mockumentary style nailed, making that portion of it nice and believable. However, found footage was DOA, and your idol Blair Witch Project always sucked in the first place. So these attempts still trying to use the "no money, no problem" approach is pointless. I did get a little something out of the first of these since it had an aura of mystery with a sprinkle of believability to it. This one just doesn't even bother trying to lure you into it. It just plods along with nearly nothing ever taking place. All it seems like was they tried to copy their original flick but inserted a woman into the dudes place. They made mention of Gay Hinge, the guy who disappeared in the first one like he is some folk hero, but aside from that and the stupid "here comes a sequel" bonus scene, there is no other tie in. The stories are just boring as people are interviewed trying to make you think there is some actual missing person case. I know that is the point of this style, but the problem lies in you already know it upfront and the actors do NOTHING to help shed that stigma. We get a few of Minervas home videos and showing her artwork and then cut to her buddy who then goes missing. Brilliantly they go looking for her in the middle of the night. Dumb stuff like that, and not even attempting for scares. ,Just a whole lot of nothing that I cannot keep giving decent scores to just because they seem to know how to fake a documentary. Even if you liked the first one, I still think you walk away disappointed.
