My quick rating - 5.1/10. I have no idea how a Tremors flick snuck past me but I was only recently alerted to its existence so I am not waiting to check it out. Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the Arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid! There are two categories for these flix, the first Tremors, and the sequels. What makes this franchise great is all these sequels are consistent entertainment. The first over-achieved and surprised everyone how good it was. But then after that, each sequel still has plenty of the same things that made the first great, being well-timed humor and giant underground monsters to keep the action going. They have since added other variations to the creatures, including these ass-blasters that are strictly there for comedic value. Repeatedly these deliver a good time and although this may be the lowest-rated one in my opinion, I still had a good time with it. All of them minus the first sit nicely between a 5-6 which is a lot better than you would expect from a little story about giant worms living underground that popped on the scene in 1990 and is still releasing entertaining flix to this day.
