My quick rating - 2.4/10. Nurse Lena Simon (Brittany Lucio) seems to have found the perfect man in savvy businessman Scotty Sharpe (Newton Mayenge), but when she suspects him of seeing someone else, she takes the unusual advice of her best friend Toni and performs a voodoo spell on him. This flick was just disappointing on various fronts, featuring novice actors, subpar sound quality, and puzzling casting choices. The film struggles to find its footing, with a plot that promises horror and suspense but delivers neither. The casting choices are particularly baffling, as the chemistry between the leads is virtually nonexistent. The "actors" fail to bring depth to their characters, making it difficult to invest in their stories in the slightest. The sound quality is another major issue, often detracting from the viewing experience. Poor audio can make it challenging to follow dialogue, further distancing you from the narrative. Additionally, the film’s classification as a horror movie is quite a joke, as it seems more suited to a very young audience rather than fans of the genre. One memorable yet perplexing instance I noted involves a character enduring multiple head stabbings yet oddly remaining mobile, evoking unintended laughter rather than the intended horror. Such moments highlight the film’s inability to balance its tone, often leading to confusion about whether it’s meant to be taken seriously or as a parody. Overall, this is an underwhelming experience, failing to deliver on expectations for both seasoned horror fans and casual viewers alike and that is putting it mildly.
