My quick rating - 5.9/10. Not quite a 6 but still a pretty decent story although it has been done. A former agent of the CIA (Aaron Eckhart) and his estranged daughter (Liana Liberato) go on the run after his employers target them for assassination. I enjoyed the setup in this flick as to what Eckhart had moved into for his profession after the CIA. It was far-fetched in a fun type of way. He would get hired just to prove how inadequate companies' security systems are. This isn't any new subject but how it was presented in this one was so effective in making him look like the best in the business. The disappearing act the company uses to then set up and "erase" Eckhart becomes the driving force to their survival. Where this one went after was also very familiar and I am sure you have seen the man on the run flick before. The only wrinkle in this story is him dragging his daughter along for the ride. This also may end up being a reason you may not enjoy this movie very much since her character is often irritating as hell. I realize she was written to be this way, so kudos for doing a good job. At this point, we are privy to bits and pieces of a huge conspiracy that is going on and one by one employees from the phantom company turn up dead. So not only will he have to survive but also put the whole espionage tale together to have any chance of getting his daughter back to the miserable life she has been living. She'll explain that part along the way pretty much whenever she gets the chance. As I said, familiar but still entertaining.
