A quirky hustler recruits a gang of of skilled misfits to find the Snake King's treasure in the Maya Riviera.
Miguel stumbles into an old flame at the hotel, then meets a guest with a peculiar last name - and even stranger tattoo - who ignites his dreams of gold.
As their plan goes awry, the gang pivots to help Miguel. With the cops hot on their trail, Miguel and Wilson enlist a new member and dash to the cenote.
With Miguel facing a dismaying fate, Lucas's gadgets come in handy, as does Lili's idea - still, they are bound for an explosive confrontation.
After Lili saves the day, the gang considers splitting, but a dire threat binds them back together. Juan offers a cryptic, yet monumental clue.
The bandits hit their next target: Churches. With time running out, they decide to divide and conquer.. but outsmarting their pursuers won't be easy.
After their stunt is stalled, the group must figure out if there's a traitor among them. Soon, more than one revelation comes to light.
As doubt looms over Miguel, Wilson encourages him to continue the adventure. But is discovering the treasure truly written in the stars?

My quick rating - 6.4/10. A quirky hustler recruits a gang of skilled misfits to find the Snake King's treasure in the Maya Riviera. Juan Pablo Medina plays Wilson, the leader of this merry little group who gets his hands on a treasure map and has to recruit some help to find it. Even the cover makes sure to advertise one of the key players he enlists, Ester Expósito as Lili. Also in this cast is a highly regarded actor Bruno Bichir who I recognized from Sicario: Day of the Soldado although I know I have seen him elsewhere as well. The entire cast does a very nice job and plays off each other's characters quite well. The cast isn't quite as bizarre as the recent Obliterated but still utilizes the same ensemble method. It is a fun mystery adventure romp with some great-looking scenery to keep your visuals entertained. The usual suspects of this type of caper are also included so you can expect some heroism, double-crosses, and villains with their need to explain the whole damn plot for no reason. All the requirements for a Netflix and binge type of show. I watched the dubbed version which has become almost a necessary evil due to my eyes not being up to snuff anymore in my old age and didn't find the translation ever being stupid or out of place. As always the actual spoken language with subtitles would be best assuming they did a proper translation there. Definitely worth a watch for fans of the hidden treasure adventure flix.
