Diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, David Haller has always had trouble living a normal life. In and out of institutions for years, it seems like he finally has a handle on the voices in his head. Protected by the routine of therapy and spending time with his best friend, he's just started to feel normal when he meets Syd, a new patient at the same institution. Through his encounter with her, David finds that the voices might not just be in his head after all.
A troubled young man battling mental illness wonders if the visions he experiences are real following a strange encounter with a fellow patient.
With Ptonomy's help, David goes back in time to find a meaning in his memories. As he remembers his sister needs him, he tries to leave but Syd convinces him he's the key to everything.
David searches for answers, while a threat looms.
