Darwin Awards

Forensic detective Michael Burrows (Joseph Fiennes) is fired from the S.F.P.D. due to his manner of over-analyzing things to the point criminals get away. Taking an interested notice in 'Darwin deaths' (survival of the fittest... stupid people taking themselves out of the human gene pool), he hooks up with an insurance claim investigator bound by financial necessity to gather data on the phenomenon. From there, it's case after case of weirdos, giving Michael and Siri (Winona Ryder) confounding yet humorous insight on humans, as well as learning about each other.
