Dead Alive – aka Braindead

Brain Dead is the story of a blooming romance between mama's boy Lionel Cosgrove (Timothy Balme) and shop-girl Paquita Maria Sanchez (Diana Peñalver); unfortunately things go horribly awry when Lionel's mother (Elizabeth Moody) is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. The bite of this creature turns Lionel's mum into a blood-thirsty zombie and before long friends and neighbors join the ranks of the walking dead and it is up to Lionel to try and put an end to this zombie plague while at the same time shielding his beloved Paquita from the horrible truth living in his basement.
