Lee (Bruce Lee) is a martial arts trainer who stays in one of the colonies of Hong Kong. Once a British government agent Braithwaite (Geoffrey Weeks), approaches Lee with a proposal to rout the island empire of a powerful landlord Han (Shih Kien), who is into trafficking of drugs, women and guns in a big way. Incidentally Lee’s sister Mei Ling (Betty Chung) had also been victimized by Han's bodyguard Oharra (Bob Wall) and his men before. Thus Lee sets out on his mission to end the disruptive forces as an invitee to the international martial arts tournament organized annually by Han. On the island he meets international fighters from the US like Roper (John Saxon) and Williams (Jim Kelly) whose performances in the tournament are a show. However, when Lee hits the floor, no fighter is a match to his clever and lightening-like reflexes. Whether it is the evil fighter Oharra or the powerfully built Bolo (Bolo Yeung), all are forced to bite dust! The grand climax is Lee’s tense and intense fight with claw-fisted Han in a bewildering corridor of mirrors. Obviously Lee comes out one-up in this spectacular-ever sequence of skill, art and quiet vengeance.
