A family is traveling across the desert where nuclear weapons had been tested. Little known to them, another family has been living in the desert hills, mutated by radiation from nuclear testing. After the family's vehicle breaks down in the middle of nowhere, the mutants descend on them in shocking scenes of violence and rape.
