Frank Castle is the quintessential anti hero in the film adaptation of the Marvel Comics series. FBI style agent Castle is forced into unwilling vigilantism to avenge the death of his family at the hands of organized criminals. A seasoned special operations veteran, Castle uses his martial arts skills and extensive training to wage a one man war on the Mafia like structures responsible for the slayings. His methods are original, his focus is unshakable and his determination gives Castle an efficient and pacey style. Tom Jane gives a steely performance alongside John Travolta as the charismatic villian.
