Stardust tells of the journey of a young man, Tristan (Charlie Cox), from a town called Wall. Tristan is in love with the local beauty, Victoria (Sienna Miller), who does not return his feelings and is currently involved with Humphrey (Henry Cavill). In order to prove his love for Victoria, Tristan ventures to retrieve a piece of a fallen star that they saw one time when they were together. He comes to find that the star is a woman named Yvaine (Claire Danes) and proceeds to bring her back to Victoria. In the course of his journey home with Yvaine, Tristan discovers that he is not the only one who was after the fallen star. A group of witches lead by Lamia (Michelle Pfeifer) seek the star for it will provide them with eternal life and beauty. The sons of the King of Stormhold (Peter O’Toole) are also seeking the star in order to become the sole heir of Stormhold. The parties fight to gain custody of the star meet interesting characters and learn lessons of love.
