The sequel to Starship Troopers, but it has all new characters and themes. After a bloody battle with the Arachnids, the survivors find an abandoned outpost where they wait for either rescue or a last stand. Captain V. J. Dax (Richard Burgi) is detected and released by PVT Sahara (Colleen Porch) from a sealed room, where he was imprisoned due his previous actions. CPT Dax manages to save the General (Ed Lauter) and a few others from the bugs, but discovers too late that all is not what it appears. They are able to hold the Arachnids at bay using electric fences, but the soldiers are slowly either being killed or being possesed by a new type of bug, which takes control of the brain. A rescue ship arrives but it is too late as the General and all but two (Sahara and Dax) soldiers have become infected and plan to board the dropship and start a massive infestation. CPT Dax opts to kill the General and the other soldiers and hold off the attacking Arachnids until Sahara can make her escape and warn the Federation of this new threat. Dax gets labeled as a Hero of the Federation for his actions, but his death is used for propaganda..
