Night Watch

Nochnoy Dozor or Night Watch, chronicles the adventures of Night Watch agent Anton Gorodetsky (Konstantin Khabensky) in modern day Moscow. After many centuries of epic battles a treaty has been agreed between the forces of light and dark. Both these sides are composed of Others, with the ability to exist in another dimension, the Twilight, or Gloom. The two leaders have formed watches to patrol the doings of the other side to check that the treaty is kept. Zavulon (Viktor Verzhbitsky) leads the Day Watch, the forces of dark and Gesar (Vladimir Menshov) leads the Night Watch, the forces of light. Gorodetsky is trying to say a young boy Yegor (Dmitry Martynov), from Vampires who are hunting illegally. This boy is potentially an Other of great power, a Magician Beyond Classification, and the side he chooses will have a great effect on the outcome of the eternal battle. Anton also meets Svetlana (Mariya Poroshina), an Other who does not know of her abilities, on whom someone has placed a curse of great power. This curse has formed a vortex, that threatens to brings disaster in the form of a hurricane on the whole of Moscow.
