Ida Teeter's (Angela Bettis) is an entomologist and her life turns around bugs. She more likes the company insects. Once, she discovers a large mysterious bug. After taking the advice of her colleague, Max (Jesse Hlubicks), she also falls into a lesbian affair with a good-looking young woman, Misty Falls (Erin Brown). Thus, her personal and professional lives get frenzied. It would appear that the strange new bug has several strange feeding habits, and it wants to feed on both the women. When seduction leads to disease and bloodshed, the phase is ready for a shocking transformation and Ida identifies hereself more strongly with her insects.
