My quick rating 6,6/10. There is a LOT going on in this movie. It is hard to not put this in masterpiece category. Truth is there is so much good in this and yet the mish mosh of ideas and continuity holds me from doing so. There are clear references to how teens are so complacent and will do what the others do which is the biggest viewpoint in this movie (if I work with you, think how kristel follows jodie blindly lol) Anyway, at first this is the mystery of the suicide club, 54 teenage girls jump in front of a train for no reason. And not in a subtle manner, when gore is needed it flows in this one. So without saying much more, there is the mystery of why they did it for the police to solve. So is this a crime thriller? Or supernatural since a clue the cops are given is a roll of human stitched skin flaps rolled up in a bundle (think like a garden hose rolled up) with all the skin flaps from different people. Sound weird? It is, and this is without giving away any spoilers. Continue on with this one as all sorts of stones are turned up including a cult, maybe subliminal messages from a pop-ish band, maybe just blind immaturity. Really a messed up movie start to finish that is so satisfying on one extreme yet leaves you wondering so much after the credits roll. That is partially why this isn't bumped up more. Still a flick for any movie fan to see just for all the topics that 20 years ago were so prevalent then, and there, and still are now basically everywhere.
