My quick rating - 5.8/10. A surprisingly great-looking flick that unfortunately houses a lackluster quest. A group of Vikings is shipwrecked in Scotland and is just looking for a safe haven. To gain entrance to another refuge that will accept the "Northmen," they defeat some locals they encounter and take a woman prisoner who may be valuable to them. So you can most likely guess the rest, but it has to do with marriage, and the king, and the other things you can expect from this. But the journey to get there is what makes this very much worth it. The cinematography leads to an epic adventure even if the story doesn't. Scenes far exceed the budget for this one as they look fantastic across the mountains and open sea. Sweeping cameras across vast landscapes were truly top-notch in this. Strangely coupled with this was a pretty good cast of characters as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in that Viking lore, even if this isn't meant to be historically accurate. It was still entertaining enough in their fights across suspension bridges and at the foot of vast waterfalls. I am sure this crew moved on to some pretty big things, and if not, they should have. Lorenzo Senatore has since been the cinematographer for some other big-name projects and will continue.
