My quick rating - 1,4/10. Horror? The scariest part of this movie is I just wasted 90 minutes watching it. I did just call this a "movie", correct? I use that term very loosely since it is more of a 5 year olds attempt at a few ideas recorded into scenes and mashed together to try and formulate a plot. My guess on the plot is a plague overtakes a small settlement town (1800s?) which develops out of nowhere and sends children into death? Maybe? This leads to a couple kids trapped in some world (that looks exactly like the town without people) where I think there is a battle between light and darkness chasing one girl that is carrying a book (maybe the bible and may also be the only reason for the title of the movie since books are generally found in libraries). This leads to some of the worst fighting sequences between the two factions (easy to distinguish, one wears white, the other black) that has ever been put on video. This leads to the big climax between our hero? and the devil. I won't spoil the big ending but lets say you have seen it on any soap opera during midday TV ever made.I will give the only points to the crew for taking the time to get the costumes because beyond that, there is not a single point in watching this. If you ever wondered what a movie with a zero dollar budget, horrible actors, and a screenplay that had to be written on 15 bar napkins then pieced together the following month would look like, watch this.
