My quick rating - 6,0/10. So gotta check movie critiques at the door and don't expect anything but what a summer blockbuster should be. Eye candy. Yep, that is exactly what you get, buildings crumbling, helicopters rescuing people in ways that break all laws of physics. So is this a bad thing? Not at all. If you plopped down 20 bucks for a ticket and expected anything more then great effects with very limited story you may want to re-evaluate why you are at the theater since this movie should have been no surprise to you. The Rock is proving he can take the lead of a film without issue and I for one enjoyed this movie for the popcorn eating value. See it and you will enjoy it. Oh, btw it is nice to see what is going to happen to California at some point in life look so damn cool (they didn't quite get to the have the state break off and float into the ocean idea)
