My quick rating - 5,8/10. Slow burn is an uderstatement for this movie. Even at 93 minutes the pacing was just monotonous. As with all M. Night stuff, you at this point go in expecting that "OMG" moment and this has one but...OK, iI'll shut up, too easy to give spoilers. Anyway, the laughs are few and far between, the scares are much the same. The movie of course is well made and most will enjoy it but settle in since it is a long hour and a half. I will say the kids acted well (the son cannot rap to save his life) and i think that was part of the joke, but by the end his poor rapping ability grew on you as an inside joke. You won't be angry to watch it, but you will think of ways it could've been much better.
