My quick rating - 3,3/10. Right now it says 5,6/10 from me which is a wild difference to what IMDB says and I don't remember seeing this at all. I suspect I might have mixed up movies so we'll see. It does have a gritty look to it which helps the atmosphere of being isolated. The sound quality is very suspect though. There is no way that was the flick I gave a 5.6/10. It is also better than the 2.8 it currently has on IMDB. Ok, aside from arguing with myself, this flick had some potential with the look and if they had just developed the story that they must've talked about before. There are signs to what they wanted to say about the town, or the cannibalism but none of it ever happens. So you are left wondering about everything such as their look and actions. The story is the usual group of misfits stop at a rest area and when one of them disappears, they immediately panic. Their first bad decision is blaming the biker gang that they had seen there. This is your first sign of how bad this is going to be when you not only visually see the head honcho wearing a wig but then they all act just so badly you have to wonder. Why hire a shitty actor and throw the wig on? They couldn't find someone with naturally long hair that could also act poorly? From then on, I found myself just noticing flaw after flaw that was more like a game picking them out. Editing mistakes, possible cue issues, etc. So as the tag line informs you, things get worse when they stumble into some town that is really desolate spot to film and if stranded, you would feel pretty hopeless. The locals begin popping up wearing bags over their faces. And no, not creepy looking, more stupid looking. The townsfolk more around in a zombie sort of way and again, none of this is explained in the slightest. Unfortunately they don't entice you in with them being gore hounds and splattering blood all over sincethe movie is lite in this category as well. It actually is light in all categories and Just not worth your time. The first thing I said about the gritty look ended up being the highlight of the whole affair. Cannot get many points for potential. Oh, and comment below, anything is overpriced.
