My quick rating - 6,5/10. The quck synopsis of this movie is very misleading. It states it is about a homeless man that boxes for money, but there is SO much more to this flick than just that small part of it. I was thoroughly impressed by Thomas Hayden Churchs performance in this. Surprised it hadn't come up for dark horse Oscar mention. He was that good. If you aren't familiar with hime, he was that goofy tall guy from the TV show "Wings", the mechanic. Anyway, this follows his life on the streets and is what I would think a fairly good luck at the life, although it may be a bit sugar coated for the screen. Still a powerful film that even finds a way to have a happy ending in the midst of quite a bit of depressing circumstances before it. Yeah, I did shed a tear, so what!
