My quick rating 7,1/10. WOW. That is about how you can sum this up. Visually this is absolutely stunning, especially in the action department. This is what you hope they can somehow capture in the next live action movie (and there will be another one, don't let that last ones name fool you). Granted there is a lot more leeway with action in animation, but these days with seemless CGI, why not give it a shot. And then there is the plot. It is not the deepest movie which doesn't delve any further into the story whatsoever of the T-Virus but more focuses on stopping the spread in NYC. The zombies seem to be a bit stupid and unaware that they can run if they want, or not. Silly things like that drag it down. If you can take the visuals from this and apply it to a decent story such as the game and somewhat the disjointed live action movies, and we as fans could finally get what we have been hoping for. Since that won't be happening anytime soon, I'll take it in short bursts, and let this film fill the gap of incredible visuals for now.
