A young street magician is left to take care of his little sister after his mother's passing and turns to drug dealing in the Los Angeles party scene to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets into trouble with his supplier, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to rely on both his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save her.

My quick rating - 5,9/10. Definitely a unique couple of ideas used in this movie. The idea of dealing drugs to make a better life isn't anything new, but sprinkling in the street magic to make some money was nice. Along with that and using his skills to attempt to get himself out of some trouble is also a fresh look. The acting in this movie was believeable. I won't say it was good or bad, but convincing enough to keep you interested in what happens to each character. I think this is where it may have been lacking though, as it could've dived a bit deeper into this but not distracting. Being a fan of the whole magic thing in the first place, I enjoyed it that much more for those reasons as well. A nice movie to catch on the weekend that may have just opened at the wrong time of year to really catch interest. Still worth the watch.
