After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world's leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong: the system built to protect Earth is attacking it, and it becomes a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything and everyone along with it.

My quick rating - 5,0/10. Wow! Just for sheer destruction, this movies special effects department scores all the points. The plot is also so absurd, it adds to the fun. I say that now, and watch in 20 years, something like this will be happening. It isn't like the government isn't testing controlling the weather as I type this. Anyway, that is the basis of the story. In a not so distant future, a space station is used to coordinate a mass of satellites and keep the world weather under control (since for some reason, humans had destroyed it, slight hint and statement being made here). But of course, there is a bad guy, that wants to destroy parts of the world, and keep other parts for himself, or something along those lines since they really don't go far into that. The movie, and our hero (Butler) are far too busy annihilating the planet to worry about little details. Butler does a decent job for what he was given, which really wasn't a big strretch in the acting department. Just kick back, turn the volume up loud, and watch buildings crumble for an hour and a half. The plot will be come an afterthought real quick.
