My quick rating - 4,4/10. I'll just say this, the "realistic" portrayal of serial killers genre has come and gone. And even in its heyday, this movie is barely mediocre. It follows Joel Rifkin, who was a serial killer in New York during the late 80s-early 90s. He would murder prostitutes, typically drug addicted ones, and did so in a fairly mundane way. Not saying that makes it OK, just makes for a bad movie. In other words, no gore for those looking ofr it, no creativity or wonder for why he did it. Just a lunatic that got off on strangling women. Convicted of 9 I believe, suspected of twice that. If he has some catchy name, I don't recall it. And this movie did nothing for me to remember him any moments after I finish typing this. Unless a huge fan of these types of movies, don't bother. Even with my interest in the subject, I found myself bored. Then again, I have seen worse.
