My quick rating - 6,0/10. Not often does a sci-fi flick come along that isn't concerned with wowing the audience with special effects, or frighten with little green men running around admist mass-destruction. No, this movie is a straight forward focus on proving mathematically that something was out there, and is returning. Even though this sounds slow and quite boring, it really is a smart movie. The kid that stumbles across the secrets that the government are trying to hide is played quite well by new (to me) Alex Sharp and it wouldn't be a UFO film if Gillian Anderson didn't show up as the skeptical teacher who Derek (Sharp) tries to convince of his findings. The movie runs at a brisk 88 minutes and kept my attention throughout as it played out. Very well made, and with this story, and sprinkle in a budget for the special effects portion, and you could've been looking at a blockbuster. But for what it is, still a very solid movie worth watching. But where was Mulder during all this?
