My quick rating - 6,6/10. This is a good role for Nicholas Cage, that of a vengeanceful man seeking revenge for murdering his wife? (I never caught if they were married or not, don't think that matters). As the two are traveling peacefully they encounter a sadistic, blood-thirsty cult that turns their lives inside out. The movie is filled with quite a bit of drug induced imagery that sometimes does get confusing but does help in showing why the cult members are so messed up. The whole thing does kind of step far out of your typical bikers beating people up and barely stays within the realm of reality and more a fantasy type world. This odd mix is what gives this flick some extra umpphh. After the first act plays out it gets pretty brutal as Cage goes on his quest to track the cult down and dispense violent revenge upon them. Marred only with a couple of times I kind of shrugged with the "why the hell is he doing that" moments, this still was a well put together flick that still does fall into horror on the psychological levels along with the sheer blood spilled. Cage does tend to pop up in these types of movies and is well suited for it although in this one he doesn't overact his role like he sometimes is known for doing. Was an unknown one to me but glad I ran across it.
