Notes

My quick rating - 5,2/10. Another anthology following up the acclaimed original (no Spike Lee here). Again Mr. Simms (Keith David) is back to share some tales of true terror and also feed to the subplot of inputting these stories as thoughts for an Ai bot being designed for police enforcement. Each tale is unique with my favorite being a story of a killed gangbanger-type (this movie is made to seriously play off the stereotypes given to blacks, african americans, whatever is the PC term of the week) who comes back in spirit to haunt a rich, white man and get revenge on those who killed them. And it wouldn't be complete without making fun of the stereotype of white women wanting to screw black men. The horror is negligible but this one was very funny. To be honest, as a whole this is by far more of a comedy with horror elements. Each has its own message, some more obvious than others. And the wrap up for this one is quite amusing. Simms (David) once again steals the show even if his character is just the storyteller, well, and the Devil. Good for a few laughs, not exceptional or bad.
