Lizzy is a tough, resourceful frontierswoman settling a remote stretch of land on the 19th-century American frontier. Isolated from civilization in a desolate wilderness where the wind never stops howling, she begins to sense a sinister presence that seems to be borne of the land itself, and when a newlywed couple arrive at a nearby homestead, their presence amplifies Lizzy's fears, setting into motion a shocking chain of events.

My quick rating - 4,9/10. Looks very good, but this flick is just way too slow. I expect a nice ending to go along with a slow burn like this, and that just doesn't happen. The mood and atmosphere works quite well. I just couldn't get into this one. Flashbacks seemed used at the wrong times, and seemed to make things more confusing, not bring things together. Maybe a rewatch would change my opinion, but I couldn't see myself putting up with the monotonous pace of it again just to find out I feel the same way. I often am wrong when I second guess myself anyway.
