This manual is a comprehensive program of literature study for grades 7-12. Each anthology includes a wide range of significant literary works, as well as supporting instruction that helps students become more proficient readers and writers as they learn to analyze, interpret, and evaluate literature. The first three units are organized around motifs or elements that recur in all types of conflict, characters, and discoveries.
