The purpose of this book is to share with each reader information about the wondrous lives of some of the composers who have so enormously contributed to our world. Biographies for 19 of the world's most famous composers are included along withreproducible activities, evaluations, a glossary, a bibliography, and enrichment and research activities. This book is meant to encourage all students to learn about and appreciate musicians and composers who provide enrichment and inspiration throughtheir creations. If we nurture in each child an awareness and appreciation of fine music, future generations may be encouraged to create their own Beethovens and Bernsteins. These future musicians and composers may even emerge from your own classroom.
