Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) awakes after 57 years in hypersleep. She is the only one who survived the Alien’s first attack (see the original film, Alien 1979). But when she tries to tell people about the creature they do not believe her. They have even built a colony on the moon where Ripley’s ship Nostromo was attacked. Even after communication is lost to the colony, people still don’t believe Ripley’s warnings. Of course, a huge battle gets underway, pitting the humans against the Aliens which seem stronger, faster and greater numbered. The only human who knows anything about the Aliens is Ripley. She does everything in her power to save everyone she can, including a young girl called Newt (Carrie Henn) who has managed to evade the Aliens by hiding in the ventilation systems on the terra-formed moon.
