Sgt Joe Friday (Dan Aykroyd) is as by-the-book as they come. His new partner, Pep Streebeck (Tom Hanks), is just the opposite. They are investigating several crimes that are all linked by cards left behind that say PAGAN. One night, this odd pair come to the rescue of Connie Swail (Alexandra Paul) who was about to be sacrificed by devil worshipers. Upon investigating the group further, they uncover a sinister plot involving the local adult magazine publisher and the popular minister in town. The two are set up and Joe ends up kicked off the force. Now it up to the pair to stop a sinister plot to kill many people and restore Joe’s reputation as a good cop.
