The story of the "Dungeons & Dragons" (2000) is based on the role-playing games called by the same name. It takes place in a world of DnD, a place where dragons, monsters and other weird animals are normal beings. The story starts with an evil Wizard named Profion (Jeremy Irons) who in the start of the movie expresses his wish to conquer the world of DnD by overthrowing the Empress Savina of Izmer (Thora Birch) by using the mysterious artifact to control the powerful red dragons. The hope of the world lies in the hands of young heroes, apprentice wizard named Marina Pretensa (Zoe McLellan) and in the hands of two thieves and Ridley Freeborn and Snails (Justin Whalin and Marlon Wayans) who accidentally got there.
