An unfortunate chemical spill in a small country town infects a group of spiders who then transform into gigantic, man-eating arachnids on a mission! The town’s only likely candidate to handle the problem is a mining engineer named Chris (David Arquette). Assisted by the town sheriff Sam (Kari Wuhrer) and a group of local volunteers, Chris sets out to destroy the spiders one by one. The problem is: the spiders have plans of their own: to exterminate the entire town as quickly as possible! With a motley crew of helpers, none of which have an organized thought between them, Chris has his work cut out for him, and then some!
