Kevin (Ryan Reynolds: National Lampoon's Van Wilder), Samantha (Kristin Booth: Detroit Rock City) and Rob (Joris Jarsky: Vampire High) live for 'Foolproof'; their secret club where meticulously rendered, high-tech plans are developed to pull off extraordinary heists - all in theory, that is. They've never actually committed a real crime. But all that changes when a cutthroat British gangster named Leo Gillette ( David Suchet: Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot) steals their foolproof plan for a diamond heist and successfully executes the robbery. Threatening to implicate the trio, Leo blackmails the amateur thieves into committing a near impossible robbery of $20 million in corporate bearer bonds. Menaçant de les dénoncer, Léo les force à exécuter eux-mêmes le cambriolage d’obligations évaluées à 20 millions de dollars. Mais en cours de route, ils réalisent qu’en plus d’être à tout épreuve pour réussir leur coup, leurs plans doivent aussi prévoir rester en vie.
