1 The Killer 87 min | Oct 23, 1988

Former IMF team leader Jim Phelps returns when his friend and protégé is killed. He would learn that his friend was in the midst of identifying a master criminal who is only known by the name Scorpio, so Scorpio sent his killer, a man who goes by many names who currently uses Matthew Drake, to take care of him. Jim's mission is to stop his next contract and to somehow find out who Scorpio is. So Jim selects 4 team members, Nicholas Black, a master of disguise, Casey Randall, a fashion designer who joined IMF to help get the ones who killed her fiance, Max Harte, a man who organized his own mission to locate his brother who went MIA in Vietnam and Grant Collier, the son of one of Jim's old team members, Barney Collier. They learn that Drake will be going to London where no doubt his next contract will be. So they make sure Drake stays at the hotel they picked to learn who the target is and Grant takes his place. But, when they lose Drake, can they figure out how he will do it in time to save Grant.

Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to extradite Colonel Gregory Usher to the United States legal system. A self-declared president in his country recognised for their large production of processed cocaine, Colonel Usher has been sought after for some time, wanted for his extensive world-wide drug trafficking.

4 The Condemned | Nov 20, 1988

Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to free and clear the name of a retired American IMF-agent falsely imprisoned of murder in Istanbul. Now impending execution in Turkey, the former agent in question appears to have been set up by a crooked policeman named Captain Hamidou, who has built his whole career in the police force with corruption, murder and bribery. By making a quick arrest in this murder case, Hamidou earned himself a hefty promotion. An extra twist in the case turns out to be that the agent in need of rescue happens to be Jim's old colleague, and Grant's father, Barney Collier...

5 The Legacy | Nov 27, 1988

During World War Ii, Hitler amassed a huge amount of gold, which he entrusts to four of his confidantes to make sure that his legacy continues. But because several Nazis were apprehended in the 60's, which was when they were suppose to make their move, they choose to let the next generation handle it. And they are ready to make their move so Jim is instructed to stop them. Jim has Max replace the one member they know of because they've never met. And they're meeting in Switzerland. After the four meet, one of them asks them to reveal a number they were told to remember, which is the code to a Swiss account. But, because Max doesn't know, he says he won't reveal it till they all go to the bank. The one who asks pulls a gun and tells Max to reveal it because it is only the beginning, they're still more they need from each other. But Max stands his ground and Jim has to find a way to get the number. And plans to use the history of the man who pulled the gun on Max to drive a wedge between them.

6 The Wall | Dec 11, 1988

Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to destroy the black market operation of Doctor Gerstner, who, in 1980s divided Berlin, runs a secret service helping people in East Germany to escape to the western side in return for large amounts of money. The really devious part of his service, however, is that the people whom he agrees to help across never reaches the west, seeing as his business partner, German intelligence man Colonel Batz, always has soldiers ready and waiting to arrest the escapees on the other side. Over the years, Gerstner and Batz have made a hefty sum of money on their business, and put hundreds of men, women and children in prison or to the soldier's guns. In order to increase the hostile atmosphere between East and West Germany, so that The Berlin Wall can stay up and their business further thrive, Gerstner and Batz have also recently expanded their operation into kidnapping. They hope that their abduction of Ilse Bruck, and the blackmailing of her father, a key West German trade negotiator, will impede any friendly talks between the East and West, and ultimately lead to The Berlin Wall remaining in its place for a long time yet to come.

7 The Cattle King | Dec 18, 1988

Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to put Douglas Matthews - Australian cattle breeder, investor, and international arms dealer to terrorists - out of business. The IMF-team are however not alone in wanting to destroy Matthews. So are a group of Australian aborigines; infuriated by the fact that Matthews has killed their people and desecrated their lands in the process of his arms dealing.

8 The Pawn | Jan 15, 1989

After the death of his wife and the murder of his son, Professor Gregor Antonov, a European chess master and key scientist in an important Soviet defense project, has become increasingly disillusioned with his work in the Cold War arms race. Disheartened, he has thoughts of defecting to the west, where he will live a quiet life together with his 15-year-old daughter Sasha, his only remaining family member. Soviet officials are however well aware of Antonov's hopes, and thus the security around him is rigorous. Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to the mission of smuggling Antonov and his daughter out of the Soviet Union and to safety in the west. The perfect opportunity to do this appears to be during a chess tournament in Czechoslovakia, where the chess master Antonov is due to participate.

9 The Haunting | Jan 28, 1989

The team must trick a psychotic playboy, Champ Foster, into admitting the murder of his date, the daughter of an influence Arab prince, and Champ's protective mother, who believes in mediums, could be their way into his inner circle.

10 The Lions | Feb 04, 1989

As the King of the country of Bajan-Du suddenly passes away, it is expected that his young son, Prince Mikos, should continue his father's work and take his father's place on the throne. However, according to Bajan-Du tradition, no one can be king of the country without first passing "the ceremony of the golden lions" - a ceremony the late King's brother Ki is determined to fix so that the Prince can have no possibility of solving it. He wants the Prince to die trying to find the answer to the puzzle. Ki, who is next in line to the throne, hopes to thereafter rule Bajan-Du and put an immediate stop to all the modernization and western influences his late brother was so determined to bring into their ancient country. Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to save the life of Prince Mikos, and ruin all of Ki's plans.

11 The Greek | Feb 11, 1989

Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to the mission of breaking up an international drugs distribution network run by Socrates Colonnades. They must bring a definite halt to Colonnades's way of acquiring the drugs which he distributes in the first place. This, Colonnades achieves, by robbing relief organisations of medial supplies destined for third world countries.

12 The Fortune | Feb 18, 1989

As dictator Luis Berezan began to get increasingly weakened by old age and illness, the people in his country of Alcante finally saw it fit to start a long-awaited revolution against his regime. Luis Berezan and his wife Emelia fled the country - not without first, however, emptying Alcante's treasury - and sought asylum in the United States. In the US, they live a life in luxury, while the people in the bankrupt country they left behind starve. Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the assignment to locate and steal back the money originally stolen by the Berezans, with the purpose of returning it to the people of Alcante.

13 The Fixer | Feb 25, 1989

His long-spanning career as a successful Washington columnist and broadcaster has provided Arthur Six with a lot of sensitive information about important people in the world of politics, law, and business. This information Six then likes to use for blackmail purposes, leading him to control a number of men and women in very high positions. His main adversary at the moment is Senator Tom Oxenford, who wants Six indicted by a grand jury for being involved in a blackmail conspiracy against the American government. Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to making certain that Six really is indicted by the jury, and to find and erase his secret records of blackmail information.

14 Spy | Mar 18, 1989

Jim Phelps and his team of agents are sent on a mission to locate and destroy a hidden chemical plant, where rumours report that a former spy and MI6 agent has illegally begun to manufacture his own chemical weapons.

The team must stop a British, devil worshiping aristocrat who performs dark rituals including human sacrifices to brainwash influential guests of his manor and get all their secrets so he can use them or sell them to the enemy.

16 The Plague 47 min | Apr 08, 1989

Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to the mission of finding and neutralising a dangerous stolen bacteria called Xerxes, which, when exposed to, will rapidly assist in aging all of the vital organs of the human being. The bacteria is believed to have been stolen by Catherine Balzac, who, apart from running a Parisian night club, traffics in black-market intelligence.

17 Reprisal | Apr 15, 1989

When former IMF-agent Laura Ann Wilson is murdered, Jim Phelps's fingerprints are found at the scene of the crime, making him the police's prime suspect in the case. Knowing however that Phelps was in Thailand at the time of the murder working on a case, the IMF-secretary realises that Phelps must have been framed by someone. Jim identifies his former agent colleague Russell Acker as the only person who could possibly be responsible. After having been in a serious car accident 14 years ago, Acker lost his mind and started murdering beautiful women. Jim Phelps, Laura Ann Wilson, and two other female agents eventually put him away for life in a mental institution. Acker saw being caught by his own colleagues as the definitive betrayal and he must now finally have found a way of getting his own back from inside his high security prison for the mentally insane.

18 Submarine | Apr 29, 1989

The American submarine USS Concorde is dramatically lost at sea and the few surviving crew members report that the submarine was blown apart by a torpedo containing a sophisticated computer virus. This virus killed the submarine's computer system, leading to the underwater ship being impossible to control. Jim Phelps and his team of agents get the mission to find the virus program which sunk the Concorde, so that an antidote program can be created. They have to find the virus's creators, and put them out of the virus creating business for good.

19 Bayou | May 06, 1989

Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to finding out what has happened to more than 100 young girls who have mysteriously disappeared from the American town of New Orleans. The police in New Orleans are convinced that the girls have fallen victims to Jake Morgan, a jazz club owner who they also believe is responsible for an extensive white slavery business that kidnaps young girls and sells them as slaves to countries in Africa and Asia. If Morgan really is guilty of these accusations, it is up to the IMF-team to find the evidence and hopefully also a complete records of all the girls that have been sold through the organisation. If records can be found, the girls in question can be tracked, and hopefully also ultimately saved from slavery.
