Peter Parker has a secret: He's different from other kids his age. Well ... not that different. He still gets picked on and put down, but his classmates can't walk on walls or lift 10 times their own body weight. They call him a spaz and a geek - but to the rest of the world, he's Spider-Man ... an everyday teenager gifted with the incredible powers of a human arachnid! Besides staving off the school bully, the fledgling web-slinger now must contend with the re-emergence of the Green Goblin. The last time these two tussled, Peter barely escaped with his life. Now, Norman makes him an offer he can't refuse!

REVIEW:

This tradie contains those stories in which Peter truly begins to understand just how much danger his double life puts his family and friends in. So how does this important arc stand up?

FOR:
· Bendis' script is, as always, brilliant. From the love between Peter and Mj to the drama of Osborns return to the pain that the events cause to all concerned. The script never looses pace and holds the readers interest, imagination and heart all the way through
· Bagely's art, as with Bendis' script is close to perfect all the way the through. He is able to convey all the emotion in the world in his drawings, leaving the reader truly feeling for the characters. Not only that, his action scenes are fast and furious without missing a beat.

AGAINST:
· Bendis re-uses techniques such as beginning at the end and then going back to the start of stories in a number of issues. This re-use makes these techniques not quite so effective the 2nd and 3rd times round. Also, in places, his repetitive dialogue grows tiresome.
· There are one or two places where the art is lacking, but we all get that.

Legacy is another strong entry to the Ultimate Spider-man line. While perhaps not as strong as past tradies, it is still a bloody good read!
