In the aftermath of Peter's death theMary Jane, May and the Avengers begin to prepare for his funeral, and the story that they will tell the media on how Peter died.

But as Peter's nearest and dearest strugle with the grife, something strange is happening. Tony Stark discovers Peter's body, or what was Peter's body, has been hollowed out. All that remains is an empty shell. Is one of Peter's enemies playing the crulest joke, or is this a new beginning? An evolution?
