Mathayus (Michael Copon), the future Scorpion King wants to follow in his warrior dad's footsteps but dad forbids it. Neverless when dad is killed by the evil Sargon (Randy Couture), Mathayus enters the Black Scorpion training camp and after 6 year of grueling training returns home to his mother and younger brother, Noah. But things have drastically changed. The benevolent king has died and Mathayus' enemy, Sargon is the new king. Again another death occurs - brother, Noah is killed by Sargon and Mathayus is forced to flee his homeland. He joins childhood friend Layla (Karen David) and new friend Ari (Simon Quaterman) to search for a legendary sword he hopes to use to kill Sargon. He must overcome many deadly trials including a duel with the Queen of the Underworld (Natalie Becker). Eventually overthrowing Sargon and become the hero he's destined to become.
