Rabbit-Proof Fence

Rabbit Proof Fence is a movie based on a true story. The movie is adapted from a book that the main character is based on. The movie is set in the year 1931. At this time, white men in Australia were sending Aborigine children to camps to learn how to be domestic servants. Molly Craig (Everlyn Sampi), and her sister (Tianna Sansbury) and their cousin (Laura Monaghan) are kidnapped from their village at the beginning of the story. After being sent to their camp, the three girls promptly escape, and start making their long trek home. The only problem is that that long trek, covers of 1500 miles of barren outback. The movie follows these girls who manage to stay just ahead of Moodoo (David Gulpilil), a native tracker, who is sent to re-capture them. These three girls follow a fence designed to keep rabbits in the outback, all the way back to their village and safety…well, not all of the girls…
