The story revolves around three main characters who are Julie (Vanessa Williams), Ted (Michael Boatman) and Paul (Kevin Daniels). Julie is a successful, modern and an independent journalist and mother of six years child, Jake (Jeremy Gumbs). Ted is Julie's boyfriend and Paul is a struggling actor, school dropout and anonymous father of Jake. He donated his sperm to Julie. Julie is very happy with her life, but her life gets disturbed when she discovered that her child is on the brink of expulsion. Julie blames herself and the anonymous father of Jake for this so she decides to meet Paul.
