Back In The Day

“Back in the Day” sees a young man divided by his own loyalty and hard-edged beliefs in this urban drama. Reggie (Ja Rule) who is an urban youth who was raised by his father Benson Cooper (Giancarlo Esposito) after a violent crime took place in the neighborhood where he lived with his mother Mrs. Cooper (Pam Grier). With friends like J-Bone (Ving Rhames) who keep pushing him towards a life of crime Reggie is torn about what life to pursue. His father believes he has a knack for business and should pursue that. When Reggie’s father is murdered in cold blood, J-Bone takes him under his wing and raises him on his own. This proves even worse when Reggie’s criminal life touches his girlfriend Alicia Packer (Tatyana Ali).
